ApiFix is a medical device business whose mission is to positively impact the lives of young patients with scoliosis by expanding the range of available treatment options.

ApiFix is also the name of the pioneering procedure, which involves affixing a flexible expanding rod along a patient’s vertebrae to correct spinal curvature while maintaining flexibility of movement.

We began this website by wireframing an information architecture (IA) that addresses both the clinical audience of pediatric orthopedic surgeons, and patients and their families.

The mission of the site was to provide education and hope. Our design delivered on that via a flowing layout with lots of white space utilizing kid-friendly colors and upbeat photography of active kids, and images and videos of the device. At the bottom of each page, we included a “Find a Provider” call to action that when clicked provides contacts for physicians nationwide who perform the ApiFix procedure.
